—WHO I HELP
High-functioning, self-aware, and still struggling.
You've done the work. Read the books, tried the apps, seen good therapists — and made real progress. What you haven't had is a precise enough diagnosis. That's not a failure on your part. It's a gap in how mental healthcare is typically delivered. It's also fixable.
Most of my Philadelphia clients are attorneys, physicians, executives, and academics — women who function at a high level in every domain except the one they've been trying to address for years.
Anxiety that hasn't fully responded to CBT, medication, or multiple rounds of therapy
Anxiety that worsened suddenly in your 40s — or tracks with your cycle, a pregnancy, or a hormonal transition
A sense that something more specific is going on — OCD spectrum, ADHD overlap, trauma patterns — that hasn't been properly named
Ready for someone who will actually figure out what's wrong — and build a plan that fits a demanding life
Treatment that helped briefly and didn't hold — and no clear explanation for why
— A LEADING SPECIALTY
Anxiety in your 40 may have hormonal architecture
One of the most under-diagnosed intersections in women's mental health is perimenopause and anxiety. Estrogen fluctuation directly affects serotonin and GABA — the neurotransmitter systems that regulate anxiety and mood. Most providers miss it. Most treatments don't address it.
I specialize in identifying the hormonal component and treating the psychological piece precisely — working collaboratively with your OB/GYN or functional medicine provider. If your anxiety has intensified in your 40s, this may be exactly what's been missing.
—WHAT I OFFER
I start by finding out what I'm treating
The reason previous treatment didn't hold is almost never about effort or motivation. Anxiety is a symptom. The question is what's generating it — and that answer is almost always more specific, and more solvable, than "stress." I use full psychological assessment to identify what others missed.
SERVICE 01
Diagnostic Assessment First
Comprehensive evaluation that builds the clinical picture no one has built for you yet — OCD spectrum, ADHD-anxiety overlap, hormonal contributors, trauma patterns, and what previous treatment missed and why.
SERVICE 02
Precision Treatment Plan
Evidence-based interventions chosen because they fit your specific presentation — ERP, DBT, CBT, EMDR. Not a generic protocol. A plan built around your actual diagnosis and your actual life.
SERVICE 03
Clinical Direction
I'll identify what's actually driving your anxiety, why previous treatment hasn't held, and exactly what to do about it
—MODALITIES
Four evidence-based approaches — chosen by case, not default.
The right modality depends on what's actually going on. Most
treatment plans draw on more than one.
CBT — helps identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress.
ERP —a considered a gold-standard treatment for OCD and anxiety-related concerns.
DBT —helps individuals strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
EMDR — designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences.
Diagnostic precision, then a plan.
Most therapy moves quickly from intake to treatment. I slow down at the beginning so the rest of the work doesn't have to be repeated. Clients often tell me I'm "compassionate but not a sugar-coater" — direct, honest, and warm.
-
We talk briefly. You explain what you're up against. I tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit — and if I'm not, where to look instead.
-
A full clinical interview, with a diagnostic impression (if desired) and a recommended treatment plan at the close — not three sessions later.
-
Weekly sessions to start. Defined goals. Periodic reassessment of pace. My aim is not to keep you in therapy forever — it's to get you to "more yourself."
